      I think it is only fair to list a few of the many reasons I hated this book (most all have to do with Luc)I did not care for Luc in the first Heaven book and in this one I hated him from the prologue on. He never did anything to even remotely redeem himself for the way he treated Reese. I am feeling lazy so I will just list the biggest reason why I hated Luc and this book (view spoiler)[At the end when Luc asks Reese to quit his job and go with the band to Italy and Reese says no so Luc shows up [...]

      I read this one a while ago, and as with the first I have a fond memory of it, I didn't love the first one as much upon rereading, but I'm hoping I will love this one just as much as I did the first time.I still love it, Reese has loved Luc for what seems like forever, but years ago when Reese had the courage to make a pass at Luc it ended badly, so badly that Reese turned from his art and his life as he had been leading it and is now just sort of existing.He teaches and dates girls, but it's no [...]

      Like a good cup of coffee. Jet Mykles books have a tendancy to keep you hot and up all night (reading of course ;)).Heaven Sent 2 features Reese and Luc, bass player in the band Heaven Sent. I enjoyed the emotional play between Reese and Luc. Reese at first going for the crush he had on Luc then later denying it to preserve outward apperance. There is NO denying the thier physical realtionship burn the sheets but yet and still Reese does not feel he is worthy of Luc's affection, nor does he want [...]

      2.5 starsI thought Purgatory was boring. I didn't really care for Luc or Reese. I didn't think they had any chemistry, their feelings for each other didn't ring true, and I disliked how pushy Luc was. This bothered me in Heaven and it bothered me in this book. I was appalled that Luc would out Reese the way he did, even though Luc was doing it to "help" Reese. This is not a series that I plan on continuing.

      I’ve read the first book of this series, Heaven, a few months ago and feasted upon the delicious rockstars - with their lush hair and sensuous bodies - of the band Heaven. Each of the four band members has his own book in this series. Purgatory is the second book and it's really good. Luc and Reese, the heroes of this story are as lovely and hot as the main characters from the first book, Johnnie and Tyler. Their story is entertaining, sexy and ravishing. Funny thing with all the stories in th [...]

      Obviously yaoi-influencedWarning: This review might contain what some people consider SPOILERS. Rating: 6/10 PROS: - Dreamy premise. I love the idea of a man who was rejected once upon a time being pursued by the one who turned him away.- Funny, realistic dialog and cute characters (personality-wise). This is true of both storiesNS: - Everything is from Reese’s perspective. This isn’t really a bad thing, I guess--lots of authors write stories in limited third person that explore only one cha [...]

      Every time I read this book - and I've re-read this book a lot - I get an attack of 'Pretty Woman-itis". You know, that feeling you get when you just love something and the minute the glow of the experience wears off you think, WTF? Was I really just enthralled by a movie where the heroine is too stupid to work her way out of prostituting herself on Hollywood Boulevard until she randomly snags the emotionally stunted billionaire with a heart of gold? Am I not smarter than this?Purgatory works th [...]

      this was a quick 'in between' read left me with much of the same feelings as the first Heaven Sent. Where is the suspense? where is the antagonising story? you wanna swap the names of the hero's and hey presto: same storyline as first book. I am disappointedLuc is 'not gay' and 6 years later he is Reese is gay but 6 years later 'he's not'.uh uhIf anybody stormed into my workplace, calling me 'lover' and outing me for the whole world, i would be pissed oh yeah. That's crossing some lines honey. I [...]

      ~~~3 to 3.5 starsInstinctively, his arms wrapped around Luc's slim waist and clung for a brief moment as starbursts crackled around his heart.Hmm, I don't know. I know this is well liked. I liked it. But I had some problems with it. Still, I really enjoyed the tummy twinges this one gave me.My problems with the book had to do with a lack of relationship between the two MC's. Luc and Reese have a history, but we don't really get to see their relationship from that time and it didn't feel like the [...]
      This review can also be found on my blog: A Match Made in HeavenThis book was just scorching!I loved Reese and I sympathized with his situation. He was so sweet when he came on to Luc in the prologue, and I really wish that Luc hadn't lashed out. I enjoyed Luc and Reese's playful relationship, Luc's bossiness and the way that he called Reese'Tiger'. They were just too perfect together. I liked Luc's heavy-handedness in the bedroom, but not in Reese's personal life. He didn't respect Reese's wish [...]
      I liked it. I might have liked it more than the first. Not sure. Toss up. Probably have to read again. Why a 4 star, not a 5? hmmm. not sure. Sometimes I can't get past comparing a books I read against another that is still in my mind. This being a "rocker" book, I can't help think of Conquest. That one for em was a 5 star all the way.However, This was a really good read. I'm under the weather at the mo and even though I WANT to be writing I had no energy. Reading takes less effort.       2.5 starsI had issues with the first book in this series (big ones) so I was happy to see that this couple knew each other in the past and have a history. This book was really good for me for the first 75%. Luc was sweet to Reese and I really felt their connection. It was insta-love but I was expecting that from the previous book. This was one of those books where you're happily reading and then all of a sudden, from out of nowhere, something so extreme happens that the whole book runs of the ra [...]
      You know those books that you read early on when your tastes change, and you love everything,but when you go back and read them later, they just don't stand up to your original impression?Yeah, these aren't those books. I first read these years ago, fairly early in my M/M reading craze. I loved them then, and I still love them today. Sure, there's nothing particularly awesome about the writing or original to the plot, but all put together, they are just something special to me. I love reading ab [...]
      2nd book in an outstanding series featuring uber alpha rock star tops and lovely insecure bottoms. Purgatory is sort of a reunion story in that Reese has been in love with Luc since way back when. Luc decides he has to have Reese and like the stereotypical alpha heroes of old Harlequin novels, he’s quite ruthless about getting him. You know if a guy did anything like what Luc did to win Reese to me in real life, I’d assume he wanted me to set fire to his car, but hey, I used to love those ol [...]
      I loved this story, just as much as the first one. I loved how Luc wouldn't give up on Reese and kept coming back until he finally made Reese come to his sences. This one wasn't very long but it was a fun read and very enjoyable. Jet Mykles is easily one of my favorite authors. The writing style flows, character development is great, and the stories and fun to read. I can't wait to read the rest in this series.
      This one had a little more bite to it. Still mostly a fun read but the drama at the end gave it a slight edge. Ideally I would of liked to of seen why Luc had such a change of heart but if you just go with the flow this is a pretty sweet story.
      I loved this! I've read the first four books in the Heaven Sent series, and this one is by far my favourite. I read it in one sitting, and was left wanted more. Luc and Reese were so good together :D
      2.5There were a lot of missing words and mistakes throughout this book.The story itself There was way too much sex. I didn't understand why they fell in love with each other. Luc and Reese hadn't spent much time together six years ago (Reese said he'd only ever been in the flat with other people) and they didn't spend a lot of time getting to know each other after they met again. As far as I could see, it was all physical, especially on Luc's part. He never mentioned that he was in love with Ree [...]
      The premise behind this book is one I'm usually a sucker for - one main character does/says something to the other main character that changes his (or her) life for the worse then does his/her best to make amends once they find out what happened. While Purgatory has the first part of that, the second (and my favorite) part just didn't materialize.We see Luc freak out over Reese's pass; we see him apologize for the original behavior, but, when Luc learns that Reese hit a downward spiral after the [...]
      The second in Mykles Heaven Sent series, I can’t say I was as in love with the characters in Purgatory as much as I was in Heaven. Still an extremely well written romance, I just wasn’t drawn in with Reese and Luc as much as Tyler and Johnnie. I wonder if I’d read Purgatory first if I would have felt different as the two stories are very similar. Reese is a fan of the group Heaven Sent and has always had a thing for the bass player Luc, an enigmatic character who has similar aggressive/con [...]
      Reese Schuyler, grew up with the guys from Heaven Sent. One of them, bassist Lucas Sloane, even dated his twin sister. But Reese was a sweet artist with sometimes blue hair, heavily pierced ears and is secretly in love with Luc. After Reese's sister broke up with Luc, Reese told him so. Luc did not take it well. He freaked out and kicked him out of his apartment, 2 weeks later Luc and the rest of the band left to start what would become their big career. Now it's 6 years later and the boys are b [...]
      Another fab book in the series. Hot, sexy, smexy rockstars? Reese had been attracted to Lucas for a while, even before his twin sister dated then dumped him. In a moment of drunken courage, Reese decides to make a move on Luc. Lucas, shocked, turns Reese away, effectively breaking his heart. Now six years later Lucas and the band he plays is back in town, guest at Reese's' sisters' wedding. Six years has done a lot to change Reese and he now believes himself to be 'not gay'.       Like few others I must agree that I did not really enjoy this story. First of all it reads very similar to heaven and then there is the end - SPOILER AHEAD. So if Reese does not come voluntarely with Luc who claims to love him after one week of mainly sex he'll force him by getting him fired from his job?!? What an ass. And then he even dares coming back after Reese puts his life back together and claims it's all only thanks to him and how dare he to look out for another love interest. And Reese [...]
