This books was so tediously long!! By 30% of the way through I felt like the book was almost over, I couldn't imagine what the other 70% contained. I started skimming just to find out what the big twist was and yes you don't really figure out who the villain is until towards end (about 75%) but by that point I didn't care anymore. I stopped reading after that. The characters and dialogue are rather flat and like others have pointed out it is in desperate need of an editor.

I wanted to like this book but it was just rife with problems. It had a good basic story, but extremely poor editing. Grammar errors galore and one of my pet peeves-a British author writing about American characters in America but having them use British words that we never would. Also the story ends and leaves too many things unsaid that left me confused.

1.5 stars DNF @ 68%, storyline was ok but predictable. I felt it was dragging a bit. I liked the characters but not enough development in my opinion.

My take:I was contacted by Ms. Grace regarding reviewing A Fresh Start. I readily agreed to review after reading the book description. It had me intrigued about the novel's plot. This is the first book that I've read by Trisha Grace and if every book sucks you in and keeps you wanting to read and read and read (and try to finish it in one sitting) I want to read them all!I started reading this book while traveling with my husband recently. I was drawn into the book from the first page and had a [...]

Romance, Fear, and FaithThis is a sweet simple romance with a touch of mystery, and an undercurrent of Christian faith. Paige Watson, a twenty-four year old educated girl living in New York City, suddenly left her mortgaged home, all of the furniture and took off with one suitcase of clothing, left no forwarding address nor even resigned from her job. Her brother Andrew, injured in Afghanistan, leaving him with a prosthetic leg, advised and helped her. He was a large man, extremely strong and ov [...]

I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review, it in no way guarantees a positive review.Paige needs a fresh start; she has demons worse than the haunted house she just bought. When house-flipper Justin shows up to help her make a home of her new purchase, her world flips upside down. Old ghosts from the past are angered by her new happiness and the past will have to be dealt with before Paige can truly start over. The hook in this story is a good one, the story itself flows ver [...]

A Fresh Start Suspense and RomanceThis is a story of God, and how he works in our lives in every situation. The characters are vividly drawn and believable. The plot is strong and keeps the reader guessing almost to the end. This book is full of suspense and romance, and the closeness of family and friends. It also presents the Gospel in concrete ways as it works in the lives of the Characters. The only problem I found was that some of the sentences are a bit awkward and the word order seems unu [...]

Awesome storyThis book is a wonderful book about the life of being in a small town. Justin's mom is bad news. He grew up in this town and was bullied because of it. He ends up staying with couple who helped him through High school. Paige moves to town for the fresh start. She meets Justin when he meets him to work on her house. His friend was supposed to do it but things happened. The small town gossip mils start . What she is running away from catches up and the mystery begins. It is an up and [...]

This was a really interesting read. The first half, I admit, was kinda blah. It took me a long time to get into it. But the second half! It got pretty intense there for a while! And the first half had to be written for the second half to have a solid foundation to build on. Yes, it’s a Christian novel, but it doesn’t bang you over the head with preaching like some novels do. I always appreciate that.4 stars.

GOOD GOOD AND GOOD!!!!!Never expected so much mystery and twists in this wonderful story Facts on location in Wyoming is spot on,the Lions Park is a real place, and so is Pine Bluffs.s small town with small town gossip, but thankfully gossip not the main focus hereI thoroughly enjoyed this book, and hope the author writes more about Pine Bluffs, and the people in this small WY town!!!!!

I enjoyed this for the most part but in my opinion it would have been a better book without the "twist" (view spoiler)[It would have made more sense to me if the ex boyfriend had been the stalker, making it Daniel made the whole think somewhat unbelievable. Why didn't Cole suspect him? (hide spoiler)] And lovely as Justin was there was no evidence that he thought of himself as a Christian.

I really enjoyed this Christian novel. It shows that God is with us at all times we only need to rely on him. The story has the right amount of romance and the suspense had me throughout the story.

I really enjoyed Trisha Grace's book A Fresh Start. The story captured my attention right away. Paige is hiding from someone and with the help of her brother runs to hide in Wyoming. While living there she does not expect to be found and to find romance at the same time.I liked that Grace made Paige's brother Andrew a wounder warrior. I wish more stories had wounded warriors in them to remind people of the ones who serve our country and the sacrifices they have given. I also liked Paige's neighb [...]

I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. The story was well developed and both of the pasts of the hero/heroine were exposed early on so that the reader is not always wondering. There was a sweet romance (clean and totally PG rated), but the book doesn't totally revolve around the romance. I was expecting the romance to be more dominant, but it was excellent the way that it became secondary to the overall plot line. The heroine was a strong person who stood up for what is right n [...]

This would have been a,great story but the profanities ruined it for me. It was totally unnecessary and very disappointing. This is a Christian fiction genre and the author's use of crude language clearly was inappropriate for a Christian. This would have been a good story but the author's use of profanity ruined the novel. The crude language was totally unnecessary to establish ing character or support of the storyline. How disappointing that a Christian would think or include inappropriate lang [...]

A Fresh Start is an engaging novel with well drawn characters and two people who fall in love but don’t sleep together—something you don’t see much of these days! The plot is well thought out and the heroine ingeniously uses something that has always been a problem for her as a means for escaping from a dangerous situation. This novel would be even better with some copy editing—my impression is that English is not the writer’s first language, and there are some odd language usages that [...]

I really wanted to give this book a better review. I liked the characters and the story was very entertaining, but the book is in desperate need of an editor. Between grammar mistakes and language use not consistent with a book set in the U.S. I found myself having a hard time finishing the book. I'm glad I finished because it is a good story, but this is not an author I will want to read again. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

It was a good book and held my attention all the way through, but I feel that the ending was rushed. I was very disappointed in the ending. I understand that when you reach the climax, things happen quickly. But considering the time the author took in getting the readers invested in the romantic part of the storyline, it would have been nice to have a little more time with the happy ending.

The plot is very well thought out. Loved they way Paige stopped playing the victim and to control of her life in ways that many of us should. Also the way when she got into that big fix in the end she stayed clear headed and got the job done. She also puts a lot of her faith in God He helped her through all those tough moments.

Like other reviewers, I liked this storyline, but I'm not sure this book was edited. I liked the idea of the story, but pieces of it did not come together smoothly, and the grammatical errors were distracting at times.

    25. Amber on said:

I thought this book was really sweet and I liked the mystery of trying to guess who the stalker was. It could have used some more editing because there were a lot of typos. It's worth reading.

I could not finish this book. Grammatical errors were not the worst of it. It just drags on and on and I lost all interest.
