Normally, I enjoy stories that focus on the Greek Gods and Goddesses, so I was really looking forward to this one, but it really wasn't that enjoyable. It did have a more unique focus, so I gave it an extra star because of it. Ally was a Greek Muse, goddess of inspiration, who inadvertently cast a spell and for punishment, became a mortal. Brett was her last "charge" when she became mortal, so she wound up revealed to him. The story then follows Ally as she acclimates to being mortal, and how he [...]

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC but that does not colour my review in any way.Alexandra is a Muse. She has been inspiring mortals for hundreds of years, and they never seem to appreciate her. Her current charge is an author. He is suffering from writers block because he is just not listening to her. She is ranting at him when suddenly he can see her. Brett is staring at his usual blank computer screen. He has a deadline to meet but his mind is empty of stories. A beautiful woman dressed in [...]

The lovely cover portrays the sweet, loving romance inside. Adult, yet sweet and naive. The sex is more about the romance than the physical act.Mortal Musings is told from two perspectives, those of Brett, the writer and his muse, Andie.Brett had writers block. Had his muse deserted him, if there was such a thing?Silly humans. Didn't they had understand that they had to come up with the ideas, then the muse can help develop them.As he typed the words, she appeared. I love the storyline. It sound [...]

I was given this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.4.5 starsIt took me a chapter or so to get into the book, but after that I was hooked. This is a sweet romance that is perfect when curled up on the couch with a cup of hot chai. Alexandra is a muse, an actual muse, straight of out Greek-mythology. She's been fulfilling her duties of encouraging and inspiring mortals to create for thousands of years when she does the unthinkable. She forced her own words through her latest c [...]

To read the entire review please visit: my link text Magic and Myth are woven throughout this Romance making this tale a delight! Muses, nymphs, fae, and dream weavers find their way briefly and lightly in and out of a story mainly populated with artists of various kinds. If you liked the movie "Splash" you will more than likely enjoy this novel.Even though Allie is no longer a Muse, she does have an impact on Brett and other, secondary characters, in the novel. Of course this is a Romance and a [...]

Alexandria/Allie has been a muse for hundreds of years. Brett has writers block and has a deadline to meet and not on idea in his mind. Brett’s muse must have left him hanging if there really were such a thing. which Brett didn’t believe or why wasn’t he more successful ? Allie got angry at Brett for his way of thinking for in all the hundreds of years she had helped creative people not one human has ever been thankful. She lashes out at her ungrateful charge and forces him to write a poem [...]

Mortal Musings by Ari Glazki is amazing. A paranormal love story that will leave readers satisfied in every way. A man who needs inspiration to help his writer's block is doomed. He obviously wasn't succeeding with his muse's help. Before Alexandra knew it she was in mortal form before the male writer. Just seeing her, she inspired so many ideas as well as fantasies. The writer, Brett, soon earns attention for his writing but then Allie aka Alexandra disappears. Ari Glazki's novel is stunning. T [...]

I really liked this story. It was refreshing to read something new and different. I don't think I have read a PNR about a muse.Alexandra is muse and is getting sick and tired of the ungrateful humans she inspires. In a moment of ire she lashes out with her current charge, Brett. Allie forces Brett to type something, which is against the rules, and makes her slowly morph into human form and become visible.Brett is left agape as how this beautiful woman appears, and naked no less. Brett takes care [...]

This was a well-written, entertaining book. Alexandra is a muse who exists in an alternate realm. Brett is a writer who is experiencing writer's block. She finds herself trapped in the mortal world living as a human, with no resources and no idea how to get back to her own realm. Brett doesn't understand how the gorgeous woman appears in his life, but he is loving have her there and his writer's block is gone too! Alexandra is able to get to know Brett in a way she has not been able to do before [...]

I really liked this story; the whole “fish out of water” trope is one of my favorite tropes and the author does a superb job with it. Each character was likeable, especially Allie and Brett. She was adorable with her naivety and innocence and he was super sexy with his kindness and understanding. They are an ideal couple and their relationship is delightful to watch as it unfolds. If looking for a short and sweet romance with a touch of paranormal I would highly suggest giving Mortal Musings [...]

A sweet fantasy romance, not particularly realistic, but a fun escapist read. The story contains entertaining characters and good humor. I particularly liked Brett's sister and the conflict and support she provides, and how in her human form, Allie inspires not only Brett, but other artists around her. The one thing that took me out of the story a bit was how little Allie looks for a way home. She thinks about it now and then, but doesn't even try to figure out how to turn on Brett's computer, w [...]

It took me a couple pages to really get into this one, but after a few chapters I couldn't put it down. As someone who doesn't usually read much romance, I'm used my novels being a little heavier on conflict, but the characters in this were so adorable that I couldn't help but be won over. Lighthearted and cheerful, this book ended up being a really lovely summer read.

I really enjoyed this book! I read it from cover to cover in one sitting, couldn't put it down. Very fun, lighthearted read that left me happy -- the end was totally satisfying, even though part of me also didn't want to ever end.

This story was OK. I liked Ally and Brett's characters, and thought they had chemistry. I kind of amused me that a lot of the story was centered around food. It didn't wow me as being anything really great, but still not a bad story.
