Love a Fiona and Cake story and couldn't go past getting to see more Card Wars action! A lot of fun, highly recommend.

Fun Adventure Time sillyness. It's always interesting to see how big name franchises handle gender bending characters in similar situations. Adventure time does a good job of avoiding gendered stereotypes for the most part (I mean, all Fionna & Cake stuff is technically cannon fanfiction anyway so it's gonna get a bit weird at the end) the shifts that are there feel character based rather than gender based. Good stuff for Adventure Time fans.

The Card Wars tournament is really amazing so I wonder if there's an Adventure Time Card Wars that is being sold by Kaboom or Cartoon Network. I immediately search if there's any and I'm surprise that they have a mobile game available for download. Will definitely check that out because of how this particular comics issues made me like that game.

Cake gets into a CardWars tournament. Have lots of dramatic in-game moments that make absolutely no sense but look excellent

This book was pretty good, the end was really funny and had a big twist. I can't wait to read the other card wars.

I am still not all too familiar with the world of Adventure Time. I see, well saw (it seems to have died down a bit), quite a lot of images float around the internet about it, especially Twitter. So far I have tried 2 other graphic novels/comics about this series, 1 I liked, the other I hated. So you can imagine I was a bit worried about this one. Would I like the characters in this one? Or would this one be like the one I hated? Then I started reading and I couldn't stop until I had finished it [...]

I'm seeing a lot of 'meh' reviews for this one, but I don't get them! I had a fun time with this. I think my expectations were set appropriately. I loved the original Fionna and Cake, but I never cared much for the Card Wars stuff from vanilla Adventure Time, so maybe this would be fun, maybe not. Natasha Allegri wasn't involved, which was bad; Jen Wang took over, which was good. I ended up having had a fun time. The writing was spot-on, but if I have a choice, I'll take Allegri's chubbyfat artw [...]

More on the predictable side than usual for an Adventure Time story, but I'm still glad it exists because I got to read more Fionna and Cake stories! After the last Fionna and Cake trade, which was beautiful and had elements I had to think about and revisit, this one was a lot more basic than I had been expecting. Still, I think it might be more enjoyable to a younger audience than that one, and I'm glad there will be a range of Fionna and Cake stories for different age levels to enjoy.Recommend [...]

Confession time. I love Adventure Time and absolutely adore Fionna & Cake, so I was excited to dive into this comic. This trade follows Cake through the struggles of being a lady in a men’s game (Card Wars) and her journey to seriously competing in the upcoming tournament. There’s not much a plot to it other than that and it feels a little rushed. Ultimately it was a light-hearted adventure that highlights the importance of friendship, even in the heat of a competition. I still enjoyed i [...]

Since I've started watching Adventure Time, I immediately fell in love with the fictional world of Fionna and Cake. In my opinion, I found Natasha Allegri's F&C novel better than this one. The plot for this one was ok, I felt it was kinda rushed-ish. It also focuses more on Cake, so I recommend this if you're a Cake fan. Allegri's novel focused more on Fionna, so I think that was one reason I enjoyed that one better.

It's always a delight to see the gender-switched version of Ooo, but compared to the previous Fionna miniseries this feels very slight - a couple of issues' worth of story stretched out to six. Which, given how infrequently these characters show up, feels like more of a waste than equivalent sprawl in the main title.

My favorite entry in the genderbent Adventure Time world of Fionna and Cake, Jen Wang does a grate job dealing with friendship, gaming, and the innate weirdness of Adventure Time! Check out more on my blog, Reading Rainstorm!

Picked this up from the kids' comics section at the library while they were picking out superhero books-- adorable!

Yeah, this was a fun read. I'm def going to finish this, just wouldn't want to re-read or own. There's not too much of a plot, you know? It's super fun though. just saying.

Cute story, not much of a plot to it though. However I really like Fionna and Cake, Marshall Lee and Prince Bubblegum.
