This is the fourth book in the blossom valley series. Dana works at the O Connell Organic Farm and Spa. When a new spa opens in town, she goes to check out the competition. The next morning the owner of the new spa is found murdered in a mud bath. The police blame another person at the spa so Dana starts investigating.I found this book so hard to get into. I didn't feel invested in the characters at all. The book felt like it dragged on forever. I kept stopping and going to other books because t [...]

You know how you start reading a book and you start to feel like you know the characters? That what happened with this book- I read the first book in this series. I feel like the characters were very cliche, I figured out who the killer was right away, and this one was just kinda boring for me. I only finished it cause I always try and finish every book I start. Probably won't read anymore in this series though- think I'm done.

Dana is getting comfortable with her job at the O’Connell Organic Farm and Spa even to the point of actually tasting and eating some of the organic dishes, a competitive spa opens up. But she’s not worried until the owner turns up dead. In this deft who-dun-it, McLaughlin blends the unfolding of clues with comedic touches as Dana also deals with living her untidy sister. Then of course, there’s her growing relationship with reporter boyfriend, Jason. An entertaining read that sows promisin [...]

"A Healthy Homicide" by Staci McLaughlin is a fantastic addition to the author's Blossom Valley mystery series. Dana Lewis takes her job at the O'Connell Organic Farm and Spa very seriously. So, when one of the other employees becomes a person of interest in a murder investigation, casting a shadow over the farm's reputation, Dana is out to prove her innocence. In order to do that she must find the real killer, a quest which puts her own life on the line.A great read!

I was disappointed in this book. I instantly knew who the killer was, the main characters are beginning to be cliche. I don't think I will continue this series.
