3 ½ Stars! Not quite as good as the first two books in the series. A very slow start and it seemed to take forever for the story to kick in. The first few pages were exciting and then…screeeeeech…it came to an abrupt halt. The plot became stagnant and I wanted the excitement to kick back in. I knew it would, that’s why I stayed with it; I just wish it didn't take so long. The characters were interesting enough, Dani was fun, spunky and had a wild back story that brought her to the Sea Wol [...]

Sadly, not my favorite of the series. I had high hopes for this one too, especially after reading the first two. Maybe Cherry Adair set the bar too high? Whatever, I just never fully believed in the romance between the leads, treasure hunter Logan Cutter and art gallery owner Dani Rosado.DaniLoganDon't get me wrong, parts of it were very entertaining, and CA's writing had me turning the pages. But I had problems with the speed of the romance between the H/h. Logan just seemed to be acting out of [...]

The violence in this book bothered me and I really didn't want a description of the villain's sick sexual exploits, beyond that I found the book okay. This is Logan's book, the eldest Cutter brother, he's responsible and loves running the business and hates liars and his BS meter starts running the moment he rescues the heroine from the sea and she fakes amnesia. The heroine is in a world of trouble, she ran from her ex to her criminal cousins who threw her over-board so that she could lead the he [...]

Well goodness this was not good. It started out good. Fun, fast moving story. Really kept me interested. I liked the characters and the setting. Would have liked more in the treasure hunting, but still I was enjoying the story.Until just after the halfway point. Then we get the details on the bad guy. Ugh. Nothing ruins a story quicker than a bad guy who's so very bad that he's just plain stupid. It was as if every cliche and foolish bad guy trope was thrown in. And of course all his people arou [...]

This was a struggle for me to finish. It was boring, neither of the leads pulled me into the story. I did feel for Daniela and what she went through, but the bad guys were just over the top crude and disgusting - and not in a good 'pull you into a suspense story' kind of way. Disappointing read that didn't appeal to me at all. Not sure if I'll pick up the next book in the series.

Sad that this is coming to an end. I liked that despite Logan's rabid thing about lies Dani's past wasn't made into a stupid melodrama."You lied to me.""But I love you" "I can never love you back"*You know what I want? I want Jonah to get a book and hook up with the Sea Witch.*totally not in the book

Soo boohoo, I've gotta wait to read them, but then again, lookin on the bright side, I have them to look forward to. Soo, let's turn that into a positive.Yay!This story is about yet another Cutter brother, Logan.his crew, his million dollar boat, and the mysterious but lovely woman, Annie, they found half d [...]

Vortex is the third book in Cherry Adair's Cutter Cay series. This series is about a family of brothers who own a treasure hunting business, as in sunken treasure. Vortex features the oldest brother, Logan. While Logan is out seeking a treasure near Lima, thanks to Dog, he discovers a woman in the water. He is the hero of a romance novel, so of course he jumps in the ocean to save her! Daniela was knocked on the head by her nefarious cousins and dumped in the ocean near Logan. They are hoping sh [...]

I personally believe Cherry can do romantic suspense like no one else, and Vortex is just another prime example of how great her work is! :) She can engage a reader from start to finish, and leave them wanting more. I am totally loving this series. I especially like how she brings characters from her TFLAC series in, making this really Cherry's world.Like all the Cutter guys, I adore Logan. He is the backbone of Cutter Salvage, and although he can be stern and unwavering Dani gives him a softer [...]

I almost gave up on this series. The first two books had serious flaws, but I fell in love with the Cutter Brothers. I am so glad I stayed with it. Vortex is a wonderful romantic-suspense, equal parts romance and suspense. The ending had definite edge-of-your-seat moments and the ending was poetic justice.Daniela Rosada is tossed overboard in the middle of the Pacific Ocean somewhere off the coast of Lima, Peru. Dog spots her and Logan Cutter fishes her out. She knows who tossed her, but she lie [...]

The writing was great, the story was tight, and the action was addictive. I struggle with rating this a 4 because it truly ranged between 3 and 5. I liked both the main characters and the details and depth put to the story were excellent. I couldn't put the book down once I started. However, there are a few details that bother me. First, Logan is a world class swimmer and dive expert yet when he tries to rescue a drowning woman he does it with her facing him. Anyone who has taking swimmer safety [...]

This is the third book in the Cutter Cay series. I absolutely adored the first two books (and brothers) in the series and could not wait for this book to come out. However, I had a very hard time getting through this one. It just did not hold my interest. I wasn't emotionally invested in either the hero or heroine and frankly didn't care about what happened to them. I had to force myself to finish this one. I would have loved to see the other brothers play a supporting role in this book however [...]

This was my favorite, for weird reasons.1. Once the story got going, it was really good. Lots of action/romance.2. Pages were heavy & soft. book folded open & you couldn't see the individual fibers on paper.3. Print was different than the other 2 books. A tiny bit bigger & more geogian instead of times new roman.4. I liked Logan the best! What I didn't like???GOOD GOD! Can these men find someone not damaged in some way geez! And then, all of a sudden out of the blue just by looking at [...]

This is another great action packed book by Cherry Adair. The Cutter Cay series conitinues on the high seas. Daniela R has no luck at all thrown over board by family, and being chased by her ex who won't take no for an answer. But the one good thing is shes saved by the eldest of the Cay clan. Who is not sure who or what Daniela wants. He only knows he wants her and sunken treasure that she might me the key to. This is a must read.

My favorite Cherry Adair story yet. Wish we could have heard a little more from his family. Especially the new brother. But the story itself was excellent. No slow parts. Just enough playing hard to get. Just enough suspense. Just enough sex. Recommended.

It was pretty good up until Logan started pursuing Dani & then his behavior and personality really started to change. One page he was brooding and stoic and the next he was happy and loving. It was pretty strange!

Another good book in the Cutter Cay series! I gave the other two books 4 stars as well but I think I liked this one a teensy bit more than the last one (the first one was my favorite). While I enjoyed the previous book, my issue was that most of it took place on dry land instead of on a boat, and there was only one dive scene. I had expected it to take place in or on or around water and boats like the first book. Vortex took place almost completely on Logan's boat, the Sea Wolf, except in the ve [...]

An adventure-packed read, which I rated at 4.5! Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies:Treasure hunter Logan Cutter is a hundred miles from land with no other ship around during his search for a sunken ship off the coast of Peru when he sees a woman struggling for her life in the Pacific Ocean. Although she is close to drowning, she panics and fights him, almost drowning both of them in the process. Logan is not prone to trusting strangers and her story does not add up. Cherry Adair is a master storyteller who can pull you in and hook you from the first page! That is exactly what happened when I picked up Vortex when it opened with a daring ocean rescue. Though I was a previous fan of this series, Logan Cutter didn’t fail me or let me down either. I instantly liked him and his steadfast ways. He ruled his boat with iron clad certainty but it was evident how much he cared about his crew and the friendships he had forged in business. He is a shrewd businessman [...]

This is my final read for COYER Winter Storm and my third generator book so it is a library book. I've now worked my way to current in the Cutter Cay series.  Vortex is my favorite book so far in the series. I enjoy the ocean setting, the family connections, but so many people trying to kill for personal reasons is beyond belief. This one is a bit more realistic since a woman on the run turns up in the ocean and nearly drowns. The suspense in this type of story brings the couple together more q [...]
